Photography Courses

Photographer and travel writer, Villiers Steyn, presents a series of digital photography courses for beginners in Pretoria throughout 2012. The Wild Eye Digital Photography 101 is aimed at beginners and intermediate photographers and users of both compact and DSLR cameras. This one-day course will help you to dramatically improve your photographs by getting to know your camera and its setting better, and by looking in more detail at a variety of creative principles of photography. Event Photography

Vision Photography photographer, Villiers Steyn, has photographed world class events like IBM's Hundred Percent Club and Onderstepoort's SYMCO event. Due to his fantastic people skills and photographic abilities, Villiers is the ideal event photographer! With a variety of photographic equipment and an eye for the so-called money shots, he will make sure that you are provided with magnificent photographs of your event!

Wedding Photography

Weddings are celebrations which should be remembered forever! Vision Photography makes this possible by providing a wedding photographer who not only captures stunning photographs of the bride and groom, but also concentrates on small details throughout the day - from the youngest flower girl holding confetti to a smile on grandma's face. Travel Photography

Travel photography and writing is another great passion of Villiers. He has traveled extensively throughout South Africa and knows the back roads intimately! From the Richtersveld to Ndumo, Mapungubwe to the Tsitsikamma, the Wild Coast to Golden Gate - you name it, Villiers has photographed it!

Marketing Photography

If you are in need of new, top-quality marketing photographs of your product or business, Vision Photography is your answer! Products can either be photographed in our Pretoria studio, or we can visit you with our studio lights. We are more than willing to visit you on site to photograph your setup and services. Vision Photography also has a great variety of stock photographs which are ideal for websites, advertisements and books.

Sports Photography

Armed with a Canon 1D Mark III and two super-fast Canon F2.8 telephoto lenses, Vision Photography is equipped to take incredible sports photographs! Villiers has perfected the art of capturing action and is the ideal photographer to have next to the field. His sports photography experience includes rugby, hockey, netball, soccer, athletics and swimming.

Wildlife and Nature Photography

Wildlife photography has been a passion of Villiers Steyn's, creator and head photographer of Vision Photography, since he was a youngster. He studied Nature Conservation in Pretoria and eventually got the opportunity of a lifetime to study leopards in Botswana for nearly four years! During this period he obviously got the opportunity to perfect his wildlife photography skills.

Magoebaskloof Hike

Magoebaskloof is one of South Africa's most scenic hiking areas and I was lucky enough to hike there for four days early in December. If you haven't hiked there before, make sure you do in 2012!

Gray's Pass, Drakensberg
12 & 13 November 2011

In one of the most epic adventures I've ever had, four friends climbed Gray's Pass in the Drakensberg. We started at Monk's Cowl in the morning, climbed to the top in one day and slept there. The descent the next day was just as tough.

Marakele National Park
7 - 11 November 2011

This trip was for a WEG / GO magazine article. We stayed in the fabulous Bontle campsite where white rhinos visit you every afternoon and tree agamas and ostriches keep you entertained throughout the day. Look out for the article in the April 2012 issue of WEG / GO.
